Photo Competition - « La Montagne en images » - 8th Edition

Organized by Les amis de la montagne, this annual contest aims to capture the richness of Mount Royal landscapes and perspectives through photography.
This year's theme was “Celebrate Mount Royal!” and the competition attracted both professional and amateur photographers who submitted entries in the following categories:
Competition was fierce! Les amis de la montagne received more than 400 photos during our contest. We wish to thank all the participants who were able to highlight Mount Royal's beauty through their photos again this year. The Grand Prize was awarded to Raimonda Bieliauskaite for her photo Un reflet dans une porte du Chalet du Mont Royal.
Many other prizes were awarded in different categories. All the winners of the 2017 edition are listed below.

All the winning photos are presented in an exhibition at the Mount Royal Chalet until May 2018.
Back - Category 1: Mount Royal, its heritage and history (buildings, monuments, personal archives, etc.)
- Category 2: Nature at its microscopic or macroscopic level.
- Category 3: Active on the mountain (sports, leisure, celebrations, etc.)
- Category 4: The mountain in black and white.
- Category 5: Youth vision of the mountain (for participants under 18 years old).

Participants in this photo competition won great prizes including:- A two-night package for two with views of Mount Royal at the Sheraton Centre Montréal ($560 value).
- Publication of the winning photo in Journal Métro.
- One-year membership to L’imprimerie, Centre d’artistes.
- A two-night package for up to 6 people (up to 4 adults) in an Hékipia or Huttopia tent in one of the Sépaq locations.
- An annual pass providing free access to all walking tours organized by Les amis de la montagne and free equipment rentals (snowshoes, skates, skis, boats and tubes) on Mount Royal.
- A meal at the Café des Amis at Beaver Lake Pavilion and many other great prizes!
All the winning photos are presented in an exhibition at the Mount Royal Chalet until May 2018.
