Les amis de la montagne invites you to rediscover the iconic Mount Royal Chalet during a special evening dedicated to the exhibition In the Footsteps of our Discoverers – The Remarkable History of Montréal, on August 31st. During a festive happy hour, you’ll be brought back to the 30s with cabaret music performed by the Opera da Camara ensemble, recalling the era of the Chalet’s architect, Aristide Beaugrand-Champagne, and of painters such as Paul-Émile Borduas, Edwin Holgate and Marc-Aurèle Fortin whose various paintings decorate the Chalet’s main room.

Mr. Laurier Lacroix, professor emeritus at UQAM and art historian, will present the Chalet’s exceptional collection of historic paintings.

To cap the evening, Les amis de la montagne will offer a free guided walking tour up Mount Royal Summit to see the sunset.

Don’t miss your chance to enjoy a truly unique experience in this iconic site for contemplation and celebration in Montréal.

Registration for this event is mandatory. Space is limited; make sure to reserve your spot online!
