1. Three Summits of Mount Royal Discovery Walk

Our most complete tour of the mountain! This 14-km hike across the Mount Royal territory allows you to discover the mountain’s many riches in terms of its history, ecology, urban planning and architecture.

Upcoming dates: Sundays, September 23 and October 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

2. From the Mountain to the River Discovery Walk

Explore the natural and historical links between Mount Royal, the St. Lawrence River and the city of Montréal on this 7 km walk from the summit of the mountain to Pointe-à-Callière.

Upcoming dates: Sundays, September 30 and October 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

3. Following the Scottish Trail Discovery Walk

Scottish descendants, outdoor enthusiasts and history lovers! Les amis de la montagne invites you to discover the historical bonds between Montréal’s Scottish culture and the mountain during this 2,5 walk from the Kondiaronk Belvedere to McCord Museum.

Upcoming date: Thursday, October 11, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

4. Fall Fauna and Flora Photowalk

Hone your technical skills with wildlife photographer Jean-Guy Morisset while discovering the mountain’s rich natural environment and autumn colours.

Upcoming date: Saturday, October 6, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

5. From One Summit to Another Discovery Walk

This 14-km walk introduces you to the two summits of Montréal—Mount Royal and the Observatoire Place Ville Marie—to better discover the mountain’s history as you follow in the footsteps of the city’s builders.

Upcoming date: Sunday, October 28, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

And if you are free on a Saturday afternoon, why not take this opportunity to join our guided discovery walk that meets at the George-Étienne Cartier Monument to climb Mount Royal, all the way to Smith House. Saturdays, October 6 and October 27, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (free).
