The Best of the Best from our #mtroyalmoment Winter Photo Contest

From December 15, 2017, to February 15, 2018, the #mtroyalmoment photo contest organized by Les amis de la montagne (on Instagram) invited photographers to capture the rich winter scenery and landscapes of our mountain.
Over the past two months, we were endlessly impressed by the talent and inspiration of the photographers who trained their lens on Mount Royal, which made the final decision all the harder to take. We’d like to give a big shout-out to the hundred or more photographers who shared their pics of Mount Royal on Instagram using #mtroyalmoment!
After much deliberation here at Smith House, it was decided to award top prize to Josée Houde for her shot of the staircase leading up to the Kondiaronk Belvedere at sunrise. It definitely captures the beauty of a magical moment on the mountain. Josée wins a dinner for two to be enjoyed in the cozy atmosphere of the Beaver Lake Pavilion overlooking the lake.
However, given with the quality of many of the submissions we received, it seemed a shame not to share these photos with you and pay tribute to the talent of the many photographers who participated in our contest. We thus decided to group all the finalists for you to admire.
