What’s Open, What’s Not in Mount Royal Park

During the holidays, Mount Royal is the perfect place to explore its wooded trails, skate on the ice rink or go tobogganing! Check the opening hours of the public buildings, outdoor installations and visitor services before setting out. This way, you’ll know whether you can lace up your skates in the Beaver Lake Pavilion or warm up in Smith House or the Mount Royal Chalet.
Before heading off, take a look at the opening hours of the snow-tubing lanes and refrigerated skating rink next to the Beaver Lake Pavilion and check the conditions of the outdoor installations to make the most of your visit!
Smith House
The welcome desk at Smith House, gift shop and Café des Amis are open every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., except December 25 and January 1. Note that on December 24 and 31, the building will close at 4 p.m.
Mount Royal Chalet
The Mount Royal Chalet is open every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., except on December 24, 25, 31 and January 1, when it will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Beaver Lake Pavilion
The Beaver Lake Pavilion remains open to the public from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday to allow access to restrooms and lockers (locks not included).
Note that on December 24, the pavilion will close at 4 p.m. and at 6 p.m. on December 25 and 31 and January 1.
