Holiday Hours 2020-2021

Take advantage of the holiday season to get inspired in Mount Royal Park! Get your fill of fresh air at the refrigerated skating rink, which welcomes skaters by day and evening. With a little luck, Mother Nature will soon blanket the mountain in snow, thus opening the cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and sledding trails on the mountain. Please keep in mind that outdoor activities and facilities in the park are weather dependent. We suggest you first check the conditions of outdoor installations to see what is open and better plan your visit.

What's open on December 24 and 31:

• Smith House visitor welcome and gift shop
• Café des Amis (December 31 only)
• Snow tubing (December 31 only)
• Refrigerated skating rink (see updated conditions posted by the City)
• Skate and snow carpet rentals
• Snowshoe and cross-country ski rentals
• Beaver Lake Pavilion (access to restrooms):
  • December 24: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • December 31: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Mount Royal Chalet (access to restrooms): 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

What's open on December 25 and January 1:

• Café des Amis at Beaver Lake Pavilion: 12 to 6 p.m. (January 1 only)
• Refrigerated skating rink (see updated conditions posted by the City)
• Skate rentals (January 1 only)
• Beaver Lake Pavilion (access to restrooms):
  • December 25: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • January 1: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. 
• Mount Royal Chalet (access to restrooms): 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
