Tuques Bleues benefit event on Mount Royal
A gastronomic and sportive fundraiser hosted by Les amis de la montagne and presented by Manulife in support of its environmental conservation programs on Mount Royal.
Les amis de la montagne is pleased to invite snowshoers, outdoor enthusiasts and mountain lovers to celebrate the 21st edition of its signature wintertime Tuques Bleues Celebration fundraiser at Mount Royal, on Thursday, February 15 starting at 5:30 p.m.

This exceptional outdoor event combining an athletic climb up Mount Royal with fine food and music typically attracts over 400 people, including about 100 snowshoe racers for a friendly competition, as well as a magical hike along lantern-lit mountain paths. The festivities are followed by a gastronomic feast by Java U and entertainment by DJ Doro in the Mount Royal Chalet.

The event aims to raise $200,000 in support of Les amis de la montagne’s environmental conservation programs on Mount Royal, particularly for its Conservation Patrol and Environmental Stewardship Program, which aims to protect and improve Mount Royal's biodiversity by encouraging community involvement.

A sports tradition dating back to 1840

Inspired by the original Montreal Snowshoe Club treks up Mount Royal, the Tuques Bleues Celebration is also an official sports event with teams and individuals competing in a 2.5 km timed snowshoe race. The evening includes a medal ceremony for individual competitors and a trophy for the winning team.

There is still time for companies and groups to sign up as Défi Équipes partners and win the Tuques Bleues trophy! Come challenge 3Macs MacDougall, MacDougall & MacTier, A division of Raymond James, Ben-Jac Capital Inc. / Walker Glass Company Ltd, DNA Capital, Fednav Limited, Pembroke Management Ltd, Presima, Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton, Revision Military, Roma Foods, Samcon Inc. and Woods L.L.P.

Register or donate to Les amis de la montagne at tuquesbleues.com. For each $250 ticket purchased, which includes the use of snowshoes, a gastronomic buffet, drinks and a blue tuque, a charitable donation tax receipt of $125 will be issued.
