Spring is usually synonymous with cleaning up Mount Royal, but again this year,  current health measures prevent us from organizing large gatherings. However, this does not mean that no "housekeeping" is being done on the mountain. Due to the restrictions imposed by the pandemic, the big spring clean-up of the mountain is taking the form of a series of smaller clean-ups that are carried out by the Les amis de la montagne team. The first mini-clean-up took place on May 8th. In all, there will be four mini-housekeeping operations  throughout Mount Royal Park and Tiohtià:ke Otsira'kéhne Park, located at the Outremont Summit.

Exceptionally this year, due to sanitary measures and to ensure maximum efficiency and protect the very fragile natural environments at this time of the year, these are carried out by small teams of five people comprising specialists who are already trained and experienced in the field.

We hope to reintroduce the large-scale annual clean-up in 2022. In the meantime, we ask for your cooperation in helping us maintain the vitality of our mountain by minimizing your impact on its ecosystem during your visit. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our valued partners.
