10 Proposals for the Future of Remembrance / Camillien-Houde

In light of the pilot project interrupting car transit traffic on the Remembrance / Camillien-Houde roadway, Les amis de la montagne has made 10 proposals that we share on the online platform hosted by the Office de consultation publique de Montréal (OCPM).

The OCPM invites the community to give its opinion on the project currently underway. It is in this context that we invite you to read and vote for or against proposals.

Mount Royal Cemetery Bans Biking

Citing safety concerns, Mount Royal Cemetery has banned cycling on its grounds starting August 1. For Les amis de la montagne, this is a regrettable but justified measure. Les amis de la montagne understands Mount Royal Cemetery’s decision to ban cycling on its property. In recent years, we have witnessed measures taken by the cemetery to deal with cyclists using its paths as training grounds and encourage them to change their behaviour.

Hats off to Our Chic Chapeau Event!

Despite the gloomy weather, elegance and creativity shone brightly last June 14 at the Chapeau Mont Royal! benefit luncheon hosted by Les amis de la montagne. Some 500 guests wearing hats each more beautiful than the next gathered at the Mount Royal Chalet for an afternoon of fun, fashion and fine food in the name of the mountain.

In the Footsteps of the Scots

Les amis de la montagne invites you to discover the historical bonds between Montréal’s Scottish culture and Mount Royal via a brand new discovery walk on the mountain’s southern slope.
